I know you usually get a recipe from me here, but we’re switching things up a bit.
From now on, you’ll still hear from me every week, just in a new format. Sometimes it’ll be a recipe, sometimes a few kitchen tips or insights from my chef days, and I’d love to start answering your questions too.

If there’s anything you’ve always wanted to ask a chef, kitchen tricks, cooking shortcuts, troubleshooting, send them my way, you can fill out the question form just below this!

I wish I had snacks like these back when I was full-time cheffing. Most days I’d run on coffee and chaos until late afternoon, then wonder why I was lacking energy.

Since joining oac, my whole approach to food has shifted a bit. Being surrounded by people who actually prioritise fueling well (and having good snacks within arm’s reach) has rubbed off in the best way.

Now I try to make sure I get around 40 grams of protein before midday, greek yogurt, a couple of eggs, and (of course) an oac ball with my coffee. I usually have all 3 on the go at once!

It’s such a small thing, but I’ve noticed a huge difference. No slump, less brain fog, just steady energy all morning. Funny how working somewhere snack-obsessed can genuinely change your habits.

Doireann, (former chef who finally learned to snack properly)
